Welcome to my blog! This is a place where I can share my learning. My blog is a collection of questions, ideas, learning in progress and finished work. This year our school focus is "In Our Backyard". Please make comments so I can deepen my understanding, learn about new ideas and improve my work. Thank you for taking the time to support my learning journey!
Kia ora Richie, thanks for posting your slides. It looks like you have done a lot of work on them. Did you find out why they have white feathers under their chin? I remember a legend about why this happened, do you know it? I learned the white feathers are called called poies (the Otaheitean word for earrings). Perhaps you could add this to the Interesting Facts box on your slides. I can't decide what my favourite native bird is. I love seeing Tui, Kingfisher and Piwakawaka in my neighbourhood but I also think the Blue Penguins are very special. Do you think Tuis would be a good bird to describe for our writing task? blog you later, Megan : )
